Mi'kma'ki Water Walk 2022 - Spring Fundraiser

Donation protected
Kwe'/Hello. For 2022 the Mi’kma’ki Water Walk, a walk of prayer for samquan (water) will go around the Bay of Fundy from May/July. This opportunity is to support expenses for the walk and a the Grassroots Grandmothers who lead the walk so that they can come together for a two-day retreat to prepare and plan. In the last few months, there have been many challenges globally and across Turtle Island, and the Grandmothers have not had time to gather, reflect and do ceremony together.

The Grassroots Grandmother’s Circle is a community grassroots action group of women, grandmothers, mothers who get together and find their strengths and gifts to help their families, their children, grandchildren and communities. These are the grassroots leaders who stopped Alton Gas from polluting the Sipekne’katik (Shubenacadie) River.
